With this event we aim to raise awareness about discrimination in our scientific community and encourage discussion.
Seeded discussion about gender discrimination (pictured in the movie) and discrimination in general will continue informally over a light lunch in the foyer of the lecture hall. We encourage and look forward to lively in-person attendance, and the opportunity to discuss first-hand and face-to-face.
This event was spearheaded by the BMC Diversity and Inclusion Initiative, a group of junior and senior scientists at the BMC, and sponsored by the SFB 1064 Chromatin Dynamics, SFB 1054 Cell Fate Decisions and SFB 914 Trafficking of Immune Cells in Inflammation, Development and Disease and the Biomedical Center Munich.
